Which painted tailgate fits my truck?

Tailgates change between body generations, so the listings run by model and year range. The 2019 and newer Silverado and Sierra appear three ways: a full tailgate, and the upper and lower sections of the split gate on trucks that have one. Choose yours on the product page, and we match the exact tailgate to your VIN with the manufacturer before it is painted, so the one that arrives is built for your truck. Our guide to painted tailgates by truck model lists every truck we cover, one by one.

What comes with a painted tailgate?

The painted tailgate itself. The handle, backup camera, badges and inside trim move across from your old tailgate, and the hinges, cables and bolts already on your truck carry over. If your old tailgate was damaged badly enough that those parts broke too, order them separately before the new one arrives.
